I grew up on a family owned and operated fruit farm in central PA. My first experience in construction was a one year volunteer assignment with my church (Mennonite Voluntary Service) in eastern Kentucky. Later I worked for a home builder/remodeler for 7 years. In 1993 I launched my own fine woodworking business in Ellicott City, MD. My first "shop" was my carport with blue tarps for walls! I was soon able to rent shop space. In 1999, our family moved to Hanover, PA (my wife's home town). Most of my clientele continues to be in the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. area. However, I have shipped projects as far as California.
I am fortunate to have my work ethic and business philosophy influenced by people of moral and ethical integrity. I believe that a verbal agreement is as binding as a signed contract. I make every effort to keep my commitments - to be on time for appointments and to deliver projects by contracted date. I use top quality materials for my projects and strive for excellence in craftsmanship.
